av8torntexas and under the radar and everyone else,
Thank you for your input, it does help clarify the issue. It's not something to be concerned with as the article would imply.

Why is it so hard for Ex-JWs to make that "final step" and give up Christianity?
by sabastious ini'm not sure if it's just denial on a lot of people's part, but the reason the jws doctrine is so wacky and controlling is because they are among the few religions that really try to follow the bible!.
the bible is the culprit here in actuality, but even after someone has "wizened up" to the misguided teachings of jehovah's witnesses they still hold the bible as inspired word of god.. why don't you believe that the governing body was chosen as the faithful and discreet slave in 1918?
because the only real evidence to that fact is that they say so.

If there is no God (I still prefer to call Him Jehovah), then how can it be explained that my prayers have been answered? Not once, twice or even three times but closer to a dozen times or more. When I found myself at critical junctures in life, I prayed earnestly to Jehovah, for direction or help, whatever the particular case. In all situations my prayers were answered.
I could have concluded that the answers were just coincidence but there were too many answered prayers. The idea of coincidence to the answering of my prayers had to be discarded.

Chinese drywall dangers...
by Snoozy ini realize this is old news but this is new info.. if you lived in florida, virginia, mississippi, alabama or louisiana you may have it if you have redecorated/fixed flood damage in the last few years.. the tainted drywall from china is now causing all kinds of health problems and the homes should be gutted immediately.. china products are a sore subject to me.. i wonder if any will be passed to the ones having floods now in their community?
they will probably be passing it along cheap to those affected by floods.. it will say made in china on the back of the board.. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20100403/ap_on_bi_ge/us_chinese_drywall_12.
i am on a mission to try and stay away from anything "made in china"!!!!

Your post prompted me to recollect the following email I received a few months back;
A physics teacher in high school, Mr. Wooley, once told his class that
while one grasshoper on the railroad tracks wouldn't slow a train very
much, a billion of them would. With that thought in mind, read the
following, obviously written by a good American .
Good idea . . one light bulb at a time . . . .
Check this out I can verify this because I was in Lowes the other day
for some reason and just for the heck of it I was looking at the hose
attachments. They were all made in China . The next day I was in Ace
Hardware and just for the heck of it I checked the hose attachments
there. They were made in USA. Start looking.
In our current economic situation, every little thing we buy or do
affects someone else - even their job . So, after reading this email, I
think this lady is on the right track. Let's get behind her!
My grandson likes Hershey's candy. I noticed, though, that it is marked
made in Mexico now. I do not buy it any more. My favorite toothpaste
Colgate is made in Mexico now. I have switched to Crest. You have to
read the labels on everything.
This past weekend I was at Kroger. I needed 60 W light bulbs and Bounce
dryer sheets . I was in the light bulb aisle, and right next to the GE
brand I normally buy was an off brand labeled, "Everyday Value . " I
picked up both types of bulbs and compared the stats - they were the
same except for the price . The GE bulbs were more money than the
Everyday Value brand but the thing that surprised me the most was the
fact that GE was made in MEXICO and the Everyday Value brand was made in
- get ready for this - the USA in a company in Cleveland , Ohio .
So throw out the myth that you cannot find products you use every day
that are made right here.
So on to another aisle - Bounce Dryer Sheets . . . yep, you guessed it,
Bounce cost more money and is made in Canada . The Everyday Value brand
was less money and MADE IN THE USA! I did laundry yesterday and the
dryer sheets performed just like the Bounce Free I have been using for
years and at almost half the price!
My challenge to you is to start reading the labels when you shop for
everyday things and see what you can find that is made in the USA - the
job you save may be your own or your neighbors!
If you accept the challenge, pass this on to others in your address
book so we can all start buying American, one light bulb at a time! Stop
buying from overseas companies!
(We should have awakened a decade ago)
Let's get with the program . . . help our fellow Americans keep their
jobs and create more jobs here in the U . S . A.. -

When will we have Armageddon, according to the last new light?
by dgp ini'm just curious: has the watchtower said when we will have armageddon, or they are avoiding to give any date, or are they avoiding noticing that all the signs are there to suggest that there is a specific date we should look forward to?
any dates?.

It always felt as if that "special" circle of people would envelope the CO and his wife when he visited, and if you weren't one of the "special" people, you pretty much got snubbed..... It turns my stomach even now to think of the a$$ kissing that goes on.

any collectors?
by EndofMysteries injust incase thought i'd ask.
the workload is enormous and would save much time, especially if you also see the potential time clock now.
on another note, anyone deep into the hobby which involves 'collecting' certain things, i have questions.
